First off happy delayed new year to all. After some time off I am back and I am still looking for writers and bands. We have some promotional stuff on the way as well. We want to start putting band news on here as well. So please stay tuned and realize we aren’t dead yet.

When first hearing the Leeves one has to think about how original their sound is. They are not your average band. Starting in the studio of a small college radio (Radio Greensboro) by the name of The Leeves Are turning Red and Orange and Purple, the band quickly became popular and started playing shows as The Leeves.

The band has alot of great songs to do almost anything to. Some of my personal favorite tracks are “2 After 18″, “For Our Friends”, and “Who Are You”. They have a Cd/Demo with tracks from their Radio Greensboro session, A previously recorded Demo, and a EP called “This is What We Do With Our Free Time”.

The band is the perfect blend of up beat music with some amazing lyrics set to an awesome musical background. If you like bands like the National Rigfle or Big Attack then the Leeves could be the band for you.

Home School Dropouts is a 5 piece ska band from Bensalem, PA with a loud sound and a lot of humor to offer. The band is composed of Tyler Sheridan (Vocals/Lead), Colby Moser (Drums), Ken Moser (Bass), Ryan Stroud (Rhythm Guitar), and Stefano (Trombone), all of which have a lot to offer and deliver when it comes to band sound.

One thing i like about the band is the style and humor. I have had the pleasure of seeing these guys numerous times and I have tons of fun each time. I don’t know if its the music or the crowd the band brings with them but I do know that I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

With a full length Cd rumored and a demo out the band is looking forward to bigger gigs and bigger things. You can catch the band at the 941 Theater on June 18th Playing with Treephort and maybe if your lucky you will run into me.

I would like to take this post to introduce the NEW Monsterugly! Yes, for a very impressive third time i am redoing Monsterugly and with hopes to make it as big as I planned it to be originally. Look out for new content and regular reviews.

Some new features include:

A Monsterugly Shows Page- A place to check out all of the recent local shows and a place to add your band’s show.
Monsterugly Merchandise- Whats better than having Ugly written on your shirt? not much. We are in the works of some new Monsterugly Merchandise. This includes T-Shirts, Hats, and Stickers.
Reviews every Thursday- I have plans of making a new review available every Thursday.
Band of the Month- A featured band every month (pretty self explanatory).

And so much more…now realize that all of this stuff takes time and it cant all be done in a day but with your support it can be made possible.
